JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Sales, the Impact Sales Director is primarily responsible for filling in the gaps where the organization has open positions within the Sales discipline. The role involves strategic sales, account management, and customer service to drive profitability and success amongst Janko Hospitality’s portfolio. Candidates must be confident in their abilities as a strategic thinker to execute companywide policies and best practices while also providing hands-on, on-property support as a tactical do-er leading by example.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with General Managers/Sales teams to achieve established revenue and proactive sales goals.

Utilizes yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments to enhance the hotel's financial performance.

Use professional sales techniques and independent judgment to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements while upholding sales guidelines for the hotel.

Identify customer business requirements and craft customer offers via proposals and contractual documents.

Self-maintains well-documented, accurate, organized, and up-to-date file management system to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized, and knowledgeable manner.

Develops strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interaction.

Promptly follows-up on all customer needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.

Focuses on revenue-producing activity and maximizes selling time by self-managing dedicated time on direct sales efforts.

Represents themselves and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service-focused approach, and a caring, sincere attitude always.

Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communications with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel.

Contributes to the hotel's overall sales effort during planning and strategy phases through independent research and knowledgeable input.

Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel.

Use internal and external resources and data to develop strategic plans to incorporate all business segments and ensure hotel is meeting/exceeding revenue and profitability targets.

Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account saturation.

Provide customer intelligence and evaluation of market & economic trends and adapts sales strategy to exceed customer expectations, generate increased revenue and ensure competitive position in our marketplace.

Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels.

Conduct local blitzes (including tele-blitzing, as appropriate) in order to generate additional awareness within the market, uncover new revenue opportunities, and increase account saturation with existing customers.

Accept leadership responsibilities by modeling proper selling techniques, effective development of others and commitment to industry and personal development.

As needed, support the property team in generation of corporate and hotel level reports, quarterly action plans, business and marketing plan development and implementation.

Performs other duties as identified or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Highly self-motivated and disciplined.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a hotel sales manager.

Experience as a sales leader is a plus, but not required.

A degree, preferably in Sales and Marketing and/or Hospitality Management is preferred, but not required pending experience.

Experience with multiple CRMs is a plus, but not required, such as Envision, Delphi, CI/TY and Tripleseat.
