Bell Training Academy Team
Bring your experience and ideas and help us instruct clients/customers on Bell aircraft regarding aircraft systems, planning considerations and in-flight operations using classroom, training devices, flight simulators and aircraft flight training in various Bell models. Opportunity for worldwide off-site travel is required for providing academic and flight training to our global customer base. This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers and employees. You’ll be able to support return to service flights, sales / marketing flights, and ferry flights both domestically and internationally on an as-needed basis.
What you’ll be doing as Bell Training Academy Pilot (BTA Pilot)
Responsible for delivering academic ground instruction and simulator training to customers for visual and instrument flight.
Coordinate and participate in development of flight/ground training courseware.
Responsible for following flight safety and practice area procedures along with interfacing with maintenance facility group to ensure aircraft are adequately prepared for flight.
Compliance with all applicable Aviation Authority requirements.
May travel domestically or internationally as required by the customer.
May work shifts outside of 8am-5pm schedule as required by the business demand.
Provide subject matter expertise during sales / marketing flights.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role:
Must have at least 5 years of Helicopter Aviation experience.
Commercial Rotorcraft license.
CFI/CFII (AGI for ground instructors).
At least 1000 hours total time in helicopters.
At least 500 hours as instructor pilot.
No revocation of any pilot’s license by the FAA or regulatory agencies.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to meet department objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, attention to detail, and goal-oriented.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Microsoft Office: Excel and MS Projects.
Preferences:
Bachelor's degree.
ATP - Rotorcraft.
NVG.
500 hours of instrument experience.
High familiarity of Bell products - certifications/qualifications received for Bell model aircraft is a plus.
Bilingual or Multilingual.
Increased level based on instruction time in aircraft.
Prior experience instructing for other Civil Aviation Authorities.
Prior experience completing FAA/EASA audits.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while working under pressure of deadlines and priority changes.
