The scope of optimization spans to onboard (deployment on the AV) as well as Training on large-scale data-center. SWE will work on various problems like software architecture, system performance and latency.Required QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of professional experienceBS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related fieldStrong programming skills in C++, Python and CUDAExperience in high performance computing, parallel programming.Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)Basic understanding of computer vision deep learning models.Strong analytical skills, especially for performance troubleshooting (e.g. profiling, roofline model)Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologyAbility to work on large code bases and a fast growing environment.Strong communication skillsComfortable with Linux/other unix environmentsDesirable QualificationsProgramming experience in C++ for a real world robotic systemMotion planning or other autonomy experience (robotics, systems software, computer vision, gaming, or mapping)Experience with TensorRT, OpenAI triton and other inference acceleration tools.Pay RangeThe base range for this position is $189,000 - $302,000. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
