Roles & Responsibilities:

Respond and address machine breakdowns

Maintain and repair equipment to ensure its operational

Create ESO’s for new work that comes into the LP Area

Research and implement opportunities to make processes more efficient

Order raw material & tooling

Assist LP Manager with day-to-day activities

Calculate production, labor and material costs to give manufacturers data for better decision-making

Collect, analyze and summarize information and trends in preparation of product and process reports

Answer questions and field requests regarding manufacturing engineering

Key Technical/Professional Competencies:

Competent with a wide range of industrial Equipment.

Understanding of manufacturing processes, Heat Exchanger manufacturing preferred

Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering core processes (e.g. process planning, inspection planning, tooling, creation of operator instructions).

Ability to characterize various tools, gages, and fixtures.

Knowledge of GD&T and can integrate it within a production process.

Clear understanding of the AS9100 and basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques. Particularly in aluminum and steel brazing, welding, and machining.

Communicates technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verbally.

Provides real-time shop floor support in a fast-paced environment.

A thorough understanding of machining processes. Particularly aluminum and steel.

Ability to read and interpret drawing and specification requirements.

Experience with CNC programming preferred.

Knowledge of toolmaking and fixtures.

Desired Skills:

Solid background in aerospace manufacturing.

3-6 years' experience in machine tool procurement.

General knowledge of Siemens NX solids and/or other 3D modeling (CAD/ CAM).

Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering, precision inspection personnel, and shop floor employees.

A thorough understanding of machining processes. Particularly aluminum and steel.

Experience with CNC programming preferred.
