Summary:

We are looking for a licensed Structural Engineer (PE or SE) with 10+ years of experience to join our Salt Lake City Tetra Tech structural team. Candidate should be able to oversee/perform all engineering activities on a project and coordinate with structural designers to ensure that the construction design drawings are buildable, structurally integrous, and error-free. Opportunities exist to manage projects and staff as proven success allows.

Your Role:

Responsible for the engineering design support of small to large heavy industrial projects (Oil, Gas, Mining, Energy, Petrochemical, Material Handling, etc.).

The candidate must be capable of committing to and maintaining a project timeline.

The ability to document and track project tasks and related design documents is required (strong organizational skills).

Proposal Drafting, Project Management, project staff coordination experience are required.

Candidate must have experience with industry standard QAQC procedures and the ability to redline design drawings.

Qualifications:

Minimum BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.

PE License in UT or PE License in WY, ID, NV, CA with ability to obtain Utah PE with NCEES comity.

10-25+ years of engineering experience. Experience in an Industrial engineering setting is a plus.

Ability to read/interpret specifications and drawings is required.

Good interpersonal and customer relations skills are essential. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects/tasks.

Must be familiar with the use of CAD systems and have PC proficiency using MS office. (ACAD experience is a plus)

Knowledge of applicable codes used for design, machining, fabrication, and assembly techniques is also required.

Experience in structural design software; RAM Steel, RISA, STAAD, and/or FEA.

A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
