Introduction

This Classification is considered exempt and is not subject to the Civil Service Examination process.Applications will be accepted only during the designated filing period for this classification. The opening date is September 6, 2024 and the closing date of the filing period is September 20, 2024. The primary role of the Secretary to Officer in the Finance Department is to provide functional, clerical and management support to the Clerk/Director of Finance and the finance staff. Work includes but is not limited to daily clerical support; involvement in board letter preparation and Board of Commissioner Meeting Agenda and Minutes reports preparation; acting as the FOIA liaison; records management and retention processing; correspondence preparation; coordinating departmental meetings, training and materials; daily timekeeping; data processing for supplies and other expenses; and other duties/projects as assigned.Application Submission Information

Desirable Qualifications:Completion of post-high school education (preferably Bachelor's degree in any discipline) OR four years of experience in administrative or coordinator positions.Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel, Outlook scheduling, Word document and Adobe Professional (example - ability to assemble and edit report documents).Competencies:Excellent organizational and time management skills, especially ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Excellent customer service and communication proficiency.Thoroughness and an ability to handle high volume work accurately.Technical capacity to quickly learn systems and processes.Application:
