Food and Beverage Director in Princeton, NJ at Springdale Golf Club!

As a Food and Beverage Director, you will be responsible for providing incredible guest service and member experiences through providing support and direction to all front-of-house and back-of-house food and beverage employees and implement all company and facility F&B initiatives at the Club. This includes business planning, menu design, inventory management, service standards training, operational audits, and the creative and conceptual development of new F&B experiences.
Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays. This includes competitive compensation starting at $80,000 - $85,000 + eligibility for incentive bonus plans and Troon Benefits Package.

Responsibilities
Daily management of all front-of-house and back-of-house F&B operations including oversight of the Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef
Recruit, interview, hire, and train all F&B employees
Forecast and budget for the entire F&B operation
Maintain cost controls and conduct a monthly inventory
Uphold Troon Food and Beverage policies
Coordinate between the sales department, front-of-house and back-of-house departments
Ensure compliance with all laws, legal codes, government regulations regarding the food service industry, local liquor laws, health and safety standards
Ensure consistent and high levels of guest and patron service levels; this includes guest needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of guest satisfaction
Monitor and report labor and expenses in an efficient, productive and profitable manner
Schedule and facilitate supervision of all food and beverage personnel with optimal management coverage from opening to close of daily operations
Promote the club’s dining facilities for weddings, private banquets, business and social meetings
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
3-5 years high-volume restaurant management experience with proven track record of increased sales and service excellence
Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
Must be highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented
Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs; must be able to compose and create reports, letters, memos, and menus
Serf Save and TIPS Certified
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms
The employee is often required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls
They will occasionally be required to balance, stoop, twist upper body, kneel, and climb
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs occasionally
Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, pollen, dust, mechanical hazards and electrical hazards
Noise level is typically moderate to loud
Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
