In addition to its esports and apparel, 100 Thieves also works with premier gaming talent – including co-owners Valkyrae and CouRage – to produce world-class gaming content across all the major platforms, including podcasts, docuseries, and social content.

About the Role

As a member of 100 Thieves' Partnerships Team and a key contributor to the company, you will be relied on to comprehensively build and execute the company's partnerships business across diverse business verticals. This person will be expected to build and direct the company's end-to-end partnerships, from sourcing and sales through execution, coaching and mentoring a team, and maintaining client relationships. Leading the new business partnerships team for 100 Thieves is a unique role as it encompasses traditional sports-style team sponsorships, branded content partnerships, media rights licensing, influencer partnerships, and the creation & selling of new assets unique to esports, gaming and 100 Thieves.

We are seeking someone who can structure and execute partnerships that drive significant value for 100 Thieves and our partners. If successful, this candidate will transform 100 Thieves’ partnerships group into the top esports sponsorship team in the world.

Requirements

10+ years experience in B2B media or sponsorship sales on Fortune 500 brands

Ability to travel up to 25%

Proven ability to leverage strong relationships with major companies that manage substantial multi-year budgets.

Experience in growing existing businesses as well as developing new, innovative, and disruptive partnerships

Exceptional track record of developing and implementing partnership strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives

Strategic, scrappy, and motivated by a challenge with the ability to gather support and build a long-term and sustainable business

Self-sufficient individual who can work independently and handle projects and responsibilities on their own from start to finish

Ability to manage the comprehensive sales process: identify, prioritize, and close potential partners

Deep understanding of digital media, sponsorships, and branded content partnerships

Knowledge of sports, gaming, esports, and influencers strongly preferred

Strong analytical and quantitative skills - skilled in utilizing data and analytics to drive improved business decisions

Responsibilities

Scale our partnership program and represent a significant contribution to our overall acquisition mix

Establish internal relationships with Content, Marketing, and Talent teams to provide recommendations for how we can continue to leverage partnerships, create retention strategies, and evaluate product offerings

Drive sales process – from sourcing to deal close

Interact, influence, and be the point of contact for C-level and VIP clients

Coach, mentor, and develop the sales team, while promoting a culture of creativity, collaboration, high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement that values innovation and a commitment to excellence

Align and manage 100 Thieves’ external sales teams

Collaborate closely with our players, personalities, and content team to create unique branded content concepts for potential partners

In partnership with the team leads, manage Account Management and Content teams to ensure the timely delivery of sold assets

Our targeted compensation rate for this full-time position based in Culver City, California is between $140,000 to $155,000 plus commission, depending on experience, expertise, internal equity within the organization, and alignment with market data.
