The Director of Medical Affairs Analytics is a key role within Madrigal, responsible for guiding and enhancing the analytics capabilities in our Medical Affairs department. This position is essential for driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing performance through comprehensive business intelligence, KPI tracking, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Medical Affairs, a robust background in data analytics, and a proven track record of managing complex projects and teams.

As the Director of Medical Affairs Analytics, you will oversee the creation and management of impact reports and dashboards, lead the process analyzing insights, and ensure the effective implementation and enhancement of systems.

Position Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence and KPI Tracking:

Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence strategy to support the Medical Affairs department's objectives. This includes identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Design, track, and analyze KPIs to monitor and enhance the performance of medical affairs activities. Regularly review and adjust KPIs to reflect evolving business needs and market conditions. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management.

Creation of Impact Reports and Dashboards:

Lead the creation of detailed impact reports and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders. Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their reporting needs and customize dashboards and reports accordingly.

Insight Collection and System Requirements:

Oversee the end-to-end process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to generate meaningful insights.Develop and maintain tools and systems to streamline the insights collection process.Collaborate with business units to gather and document business requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems.Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems to ensure they meet business needs.Provide training and support to end-users to ensure smooth adoption and effective use of new systems.

Serve as Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Point of Contact (POC):

Serve as the primary point of contact for AI and data analytics initiatives within the Medical Affairs department.Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in AI and data analytics and assess their potential impact on the department.Continue to identify ways to integrate AI and Data Analysis into Madrigal’s workflow to optimize workstream execution.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field such as Data Science or Computer Science preferred, but not required.Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing etc.) preferred, but not required.A minimum of 8-10 years in analytics with at least 5 years in Medical Affairs or the biopharmaceutical industry experience.Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI required.Ability to view Medical Affairs data from both a scientific and business perspective is a priority.Follow and comply with all compliance laws and regulations.Compensation:

Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, which include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance.
