The Materials DBSL (Danaher Business Systems Leader) is a hands-on and facilitative leader responsible for leading high-impact continuous improvement events and transformations across our Miami, FL manufacturing site. This role also leads the deployment of DMS (Danaher Materials System) across the site.

This position is part of the

Miami Materials Team

and will be located ON-SITE in Kendall, FL.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Inventory Management and Planning: Implement inventory management practices that monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory. Utilize lean principles such as kanban and demand-driven replenishment systems to improve inventory turns and reduce carrying costs. Develop Planning and Materials Management standard work.

Procurement: Improve procurement activities including purchasing, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials at the best possible cost. Implement lean procurement practices to streamline processes and eliminate waste in the supply chain.

Supplier Relationship Standard Work: Develop and maintain strong standard work within Strategic Procurement to ensure reliable supply and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery performance. Collaborate with suppliers to implement lean initiatives and drive mutual benefits.

Continuous Improvement: Provide overall DMS / DBS leadership and simplification to key areas of our operations. Responsible to support strategy development of site Danaher Materials System transformation. Coordinate, lead, and facilitate Kaizen events across the site.

Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and track progress towards improvement goals. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for further optimization. Perform other duties as assigned.

The essential requirements of the job include:

BS or BA degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field with preference for 5+ years of Materials / Planning / Procurement experience or Master’s degree with preference for 3+ years’ experience.

Hands-on experience implementing/leading DBS / DMS, TPS, Kaizen, and/or Lean.

Proven experience coaching/influencing others.

Project management skills, with experience driving and delivering results.

Strong computer / MS Office skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Medical Device or low volume – high mix manufacturing.

Experience working in regulated (FDA preferred) manufacturing environments.

Mastery of a variety of Lean / Six Sigma tools.
