What
you can
expect as
a Leader of Software Engineering:
You will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions for RPX's suite of products, as well as lead an offshore team and collaborate with other stake holders to ensure seamless execution of product roadmap.
In this role, you will:
Lead and manage an offshore software development team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.Own the technical architecture and design decisions, ensuring they align with business goals.Provide hands-on technical leadership, including write clean, scalable, and efficient code, conduct code reviews, debugging, and design oversight.Own the processes and best practices for the team to follow, ensuring scalable, robust, and secure solutions are delivered that align with business goals.Collaborate with cross functional teams including product management, operations, and other stake holders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.Identify and mitigate risks to the project’s success.Following agile practices drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards.Do you have the experience to join our team?
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field7+ years of experience in software development with a strong background in architectural and design practices.Experience in a leadership or managerial role overseeing offshore development teams.Proven track record of delivering complex software projects in a fast-paced environment.Deep knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud technologies, microservices, and scalable systems.Strong knowledge of Python, Django, and SQL is required and experience with Solr/Elastic search, Ruby on Rails, and AWS services would be a plusProject management or Scrum master experienceStrong business insight and ability to translate business objectives into technical strategies and execution plansExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse partnersAbility to lead multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality resultsInterested in Learning More
About Us?
In compliance with CA Pay Transparency, the RPX target budgeted salary for this position is $175,000 to $195,000 depending on skills and experience and the RPX base salary range is $135,000 to $235,000. In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits and perks, including group health coverage, company HSA contribution, 401(k) matching, medical disability and family leave benefits, fitness reimbursement, community service days, charitable donation matching, and more, as well as the option to work remotely or from our beautiful San Francisco office.
