As Head of Engineering at Pump, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing our AI-driven cloud cost optimization platform. You'll lead our engineering team in creating innovative solutions that tackle the complex challenges of cloud spend management.Key Responsibilities
Scale our engineering team from 5 to 30+ engineers - hiring, structuring the team to efficiencyDrive the development of our AI-powered platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performanceCollaborate with the founding team to shape and execute the technical vision and strategy, working closely with product and business teams to align engineering efforts with company goalsManage and mentor a team of talented engineersStay abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends in cloud computing and AIIdeal Candidate Profile
9-15 years of experience (graduated between 2010-2015)Strong backend and infrastructure expertise, with experience building end-to-end products used by 1000+ customers (Series A+ companies)Consumer background with a strong product focusProven track record of scaling engineering teams and operationsExperience as a CTO or leadership role in a company with $30M+ ARRDeep knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure and cloud related technologiesExtremely data-driven approach to decision-makingExperience starting a company that had a successful exit is a significant plusQualifications
Degree from a top-tier university in Computer Science or related fieldExperience with AI/ML technologies and their applications in cloud optimizationStrong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teamsExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challengesExperience with agile methodologies and modern software development practicesPrevious experience at FAANG or other Tier 1 tech companies is a plusWhy Join Pump?
