Join our committed team and help shape the future we envision.SummaryIn collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) supports executive-level management of resources, strategic planning and development of policies and procedures, which ensures congruence with the mission and vision of the organization. The ACNO has operational and functional responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives. The ACNO will develop communication, knowledge, leadership, professionalism, and business skills necessary to advance to a CNO.Minimum Experience RequiredMinimum Ten (10) years of progressive experience in nursing or clinical, including a minimum of seven (7) years in a management and/or leadership role within hospital operations.Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required• Strong communication, presentation, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills• Significant leadership experience in regulatory surveys and Magnet designation or re-designation surveys• Knowledge of Health Care Environment: Understands, articulates, and ensures compliance with patient care standards reflected in federal and state regulation, The Joint Commission, Florida Healthcare administration, Nurse Practice Act.• Demonstrates a clear understanding of accreditation and regulatory requirements applicable to patient care and/or other department functions.• Understands the impact of legislation at the state and federal level on nursing and organization.• Computer competency.Preferred ExperienceExperience in leadership role at a Cancer Center, Magnet Designated hospital, university or academic cancer center.Minimum EducationMaster's Degree Nursing, Business, Healthcare; Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN); Ph.D. Nursing, Healthcare or Business; Other DNP.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONMinimum Required: Registered Nurse (RN)Moffitt Cancer Center is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
