Felton offers a dynamic, challenging, and supportive work environment where we encourage the use of professional development, that staff can utilize throughout their career.Program DescriptionFull Circle Family Program: a team of about 5 clinicians who provide outpatient mental health services to children and youth under 18 years of age. Our services are provided at our clinic in San Francisco, in the home, at school, in the community, or via telehealth.TAY: TAY Full Service Partnership Program: a multidisciplinary team who provides intensive outpatient mental health services to young adults 16-25 years old. We provide case management, therapy, individual and group rehabilitation, psychiatric medication management, and crisis interventions in the home, in our clinic, and in the community.TAY: TAY Acute Linkage Program: uses a multidisciplinary team approach to provide field and office-based services to stabilize and prevent future crisis episodes. We provide intensive, time limited outpatient services to young adults ages 16-25 who are being discharged from crisis services and then are not able to follow through with discharge plans, lack the support to do so, or are not being served at a high enough level or care, leading to repeat crises.Adult: Intensive Case Management (ICM) and Full Service Partnership (FSP) Programs: multidisciplinary teams provide intensive case management, therapy, individual and group rehabilitation, and psychiatric medication management to adults 25-60+ years old in the home, in our clinic, and in the community.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of a licensed psychiatrist, exercises medical responsibilities for psychiatric evaluation, medication assessment, and medication monitoring. Performs crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and other direct mental health services, including case management, and assists with 5150 evaluations, as needed. Orders diagnostic tests, communicates medical issues with Primary Health Care provider and/or other providers. Maintains client caseload and clinical records in accordance with mandated standards. Directs treatment planning and works as a member of multidisciplinary teams. Consults and provides on-going education to non-medical staff in psychopharmacology and medical aspects of patient care. Helps with creating and maintaining compliance of medication room. Services will be provided at Felton clinics or in the community, as needed. Additional duties as needed.Specific Responsibilities• This role will require working in at least 2 different Felton locations both within San Francisco and in the community, as needed (parking provided).• The medical team consists of at least one other psychiatric nurse practitioner, licensed vocational nurses, and a physician and will also work collaboratively with medical providers from other Felton programs.• This role will include family members and other supportive people of the client in the treatment of the client.Minimum Qualification• A minimum of 3 years of Psychiatric Nursing experience prescribing and treating clients living with a severe mental illness.• Verifiable completion of training in an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.• Current Nurse Practitioner license.• Current furnishing number license from State of California.• Current DEA registration.• Demonstrated commitment to the welfare of individuals and families with mental/behavioral health issues.• Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases and psychosis. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative healthcare measures.• Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.• Complex problem solving; identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.• Works well with a multidisciplinary team- able to receive feedback and collaborate well with peers and supervisors.• Demonstrated ability to work sensitively with diverse people and communities.• Critical thinking skills; using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.• Social perceptiveness skills: being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.• Service orientation skills; actively looking for ways to help people.• Valid California Driver’s license.• Able to provide services in Spanish.Additional Information:Reports to: Psychiatrist (clinical support) and Director of TAY and Adult Mental Health Services (administrative and program-related support).Job Type: Full time.Work Schedule: Onsite.FLSA Status: Exempt.Salary Range: $210,000.Benefits (subject to election and eligibility): Fully-Paid Medical and Dental Plans; Health Reimbursement Card, Paid Time Off (personal, vacation, and sick time), 403B with company match.Applying Instruction:Candidates should apply for the position at our career page “careers.felton.org” OR directly email resumes to “jobs@felton.org”.IMP NOTE:
