Meet the team:

The Latitude AI Software Deploy team provides solutions for deploying autonomy applications and operating systems to the fleet. We also play a crucial role in the process of developing over the air update systems and in-vehicle agents that coordinate the software update process across Linux based and embedded machines. Our goal is to deploy this software rapidly and safely to prototypes, benches, and production vehicles.

What you’ll do:

Architect, design, and implement novel, state-of-the-art solutions for software updates, both for our development fleet and ultimately over-the-air to production fleets

Develop production quality, highly performant software in a fast-paced, autonomous environment while maintaining a strong safety culture

Collaborate with cross functional teams that build software in embedded, test, functional safety, and vehicle systems related realms

Develop products in the autonomous driving space that deploy operating systems, embedded firmware, and other software required for self driving applications

Communicate design decisions, implementation improvements and project progress within your team and across the organization

Write automated tests and metrics to improve and validate performance

What you'll need to succeed:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD)

Willingness and excitement to learn new technologies, dive deep, and do what it takes to to contribute to a polished, reliable, state of the art product

Track record of product development culminating in successful launches/releases/etc

Nice to have:

Master’s or PhD degree in Robotics, ECE, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field

Track record of technical leadership (not limited to management) taking products or large features from research to consumer release

Professional experience in robotic or automotive fields

Useful to have prior experience in one or more of the following:

Developing on-board automotive software in a production environment

Designing over the air update systems and subroutines

Development of software for linux based machines

Moderate prior experience in C++ software development

Moderate prior experience in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages

The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $170,560-$234,520 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude’s annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.

Candidates for positions with Latitude AI must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is available for this position.
