You'll work alongside a diverse group of HR professionals who are passionate about crafting an excellent employee experience, providing client-focused solutions, and implementing consistent and equitable people practices.The HR Business Analyst (HRBA) team sits within the HR division and provides traditional analysis services to our fellow HR and Payroll teams. Our team performs business analysis activities including process documentation and improvement, requirements elicitation and documentation, participation in system design, requirements management, user acceptance testing facilitation and support, and system documentation. Additionally, our team is encouraged to work on multiple assignments concurrently, drive small to midsize projects, and occasionally provide 2nd or 3rd tier support for production issues. Our team works directly with other HR and Payroll teams, and there is a large opportunity to influence HR process & technology strategy through these interactions. All roles on this team demand a problem-solving, analytical approach, with excellent organization and attention to detail.The RoleThis role provides Business Analysis skills and services to other HR and Payroll teams. A large part of the role is focused on understanding the business needs for HR run-of-business events, translating those needs into process and system requirements, and working with HR & partner IT teams to build, test, and deploy changes to processes and systems. At times this role might also perform light project management duties. A successful candidate for this role is able to work on 1-2 small/medium items concurrently, while also providing ongoing 2nd tier support for other HR users. You are required to be knowledgeable and have an understanding of HR business processes and know how to work within HR applications (e.g., a suite of applications, inclusive of, but not limited to, Workday) to optimize those processes.What You’ll DoProvide domain expertise on HR technology, processes, reports, and integrations while finding opportunities for automation and process improvement across HR technologies and integration with up and downstream systems, including conducting analysis of existing business processes, and identifying and evaluating possible re-configuration/ solutions in response to business issues and challenges.Elicit, document, and handle requirements for process and technical changes.Partner with IT to craft, develop, and deploy technical changes.Perform unit testing and facilitate business testing for technical changes.Provide ad-hoc 2nd tier support for HR or Payroll issues.Advocate for HR and Payroll partners and end users across the foundation.Provide ad-hoc or special project data analysis to HR or foundation colleagues that enable them to achieve their goals and drive decision-making.Drive small project teams forward by scheduling and running regular project meetings or ceremonies.Establish small project communication patterns/channels, and information sharing channels.Coordinate small project team activities and monitor project progress to ensure success.Support inclusive culture through modeling behaviors and actions; call out issues in a timely fashion to appropriate partners.Your ExperienceA Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.4+ years of experience as a business analyst or related role.Experience in implementing or supporting Workday application, as well as software development and/or system configuration.Experience supporting HR applications.Experience working in an agile environment that has a focus on Cloud/SaaS, out-of-the-box solutions.Experience mapping business capabilities to technology solutions.Ability to identify continual improvement opportunities for HR processes or technologies.Delivery experience in Agile, Scrum, and Cloud environment.Knowledge of an HR ecosystem inclusive of, but not limited to, benefits, payroll, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and HR law.Knowledge of relationship building and consulting skills, including development of effective relationships with HR and Payroll team members.This role is a limited-term position for 36 months.
