Director of Field EducationThe College of Education (COE) at Eastern Oregon University (EOU) invites applicants to apply for a full-time, 12-month Director of Field Education position in the newly established online MSW program. The online Advanced Generalist MSW Program will launch in the fall of 2025.

The successful candidate may locate in the La Grande, Oregon area or work remotely from a location in the USA that has reliable and adequate high-speed bandwidth. Working hours are in the Pacific Time Zone. The position will require periodic travel to the EOU campus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the Master of Social Work Field Education program, ensuring compliance with CSWE standards.

Establish and oversee field placements for MSW students, including recruitment of agency partners and field instructors.

Actively participate in the development of field education curriculum, assessment, and policy.

Develop and implement orientation and training for field instructors and students.

Participate in the CSWE accreditation process, including preparation of benchmark and self-study documents.

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program.

At least three years full-time, post-MSW practice experience.

Highly developed and effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Ability to use technological applications such as Microsoft Office programs.

Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check. Having a criminal history is not an automatic bar to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Earned doctorate in social work or related field.

Current LCSW or LMSW.

Experience as a field director or field supervisor for social work students.

Previous experience with CSWE accreditation.

Experience working/teaching in a fully online or hybrid environment.

Salary$65,093 to $93,735 per annum
