Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Community Engagement Manager, and in collaboration with other TrueCare staff, this position is responsible for all elements of volunteering and internships within the organization. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for engaging non-clinical volunteers in the mission of TrueCare to enhance the health status of our diverse communities. This role involves assessing TrueCare volunteer needs and then meeting those needs through the recruitment, placement, and retention of volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator will manage volunteers by providing assistance and support to volunteers when needed.Responsible for the retention of volunteers and interns by providing ongoing communication and feedback surveys to ensure successful placement at TrueCare. Provide guidance and coaching to develop volunteer and department to its highest potential. Provide exceptional customer service to TrueCare patients, staff, and the community. Liaise with TrueCare medical leadership to ensure intern program meets the needs of the organization from the clinical perspective.Job RequirementsAssociate degree in social services, health education, public health or, or equivalent work experience.One to two (1-2) years’ experience in healthcare related fieldOne to two (1-2) years’ experience coordinating a community-based program.Experience in social work and volunteer related fields.Experience with and understanding of vulnerable populations and the healthcare environment.Knowledge of public and private social services agencies, community resources, including Federal and State programs.Computer literacy working with PC-based software applications and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Nice to Have

Bilingual in SpanishBachelor’s Degree in social work, healthcare, human development, political science, sociology, criminal justice or related fields or equivalent work experience.Experience with and understanding of clinical and non-clinical volunteer placements.Competitive Benefits:
