Batteries Plus is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to join our team!
This position will assist in maintaining optimum levels of inventory and required materials needed to meet customer delivery requirements as well as deliver product to customers in a safe, prompt, and professional manner.
This is a physically demanding job that requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. The workday is M-F, 7:30 am to 4 pm. Prior warehouse and delivery experience is a plus but not required. A CDL is not required.

Pick orders and maintain inventory records. Note errors and/or problemsUnderstand product weights and types to maintain quality and avoid damage and spoilage of productsPack and crate items in preparation for shipping and distributionAssist with inventory cycle countsShippingProperly stage and assemble completed orders for expedited loading and shippingVerify accuracy of packages being loaded with order documents to ensure proper piece counts, addresses. Complete shipping reportsFollow procedures to wrap orders for shipping stabilityUse mechanical equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) to load trucks and or storage units (training/certification provided)DeliveriesWork with our team to pick, pull, and load deliveries from our Manchester, NH warehouseAssist our team in setting up routes using GPS navigation systemDeliver product directly to our commercial customers and execute store-to-store transfersPick up recycling product from our commercial customers and organize it at our warehouseDeliver throughout southern New Hampshire, with occasional deliveries to Maine and MassachusettsAssist in loading/unloading and organizing truckload shipments at our warehouseProvide minor maintenance and cleaning of our vehicles while reporting any service needs to managementGeneralFollow all safety procedures and rules established in the facility. Wear proper PPE, including steel-toed shoesKeep all work areas clean and free of hazards. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or damaged productsActively participate in all safety and other training programsComplete paperwork as necessaryOther duties as assignedQualifications:21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportationAbility to operate delivery vanExcellent attendance and reliability requiredForklift certification is a plus, but not necessaryMust have a focus on accuracy and integrityAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork within defined proceduresDemonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with others. Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to obtain information and data that requires professionalism and tactAble to quickly identify problems, pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidanceWorking Environment:
The physical demands required to perform the essential responsibilities of this position are as follows. Reasonable accommodations, if necessary and/or as required by law, will be made available.This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk, hear and lift up to 75 pounds; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and use foot to operate a machine to lift more than 100 poundsThe position requires use of manual and mechanical equipment as needed. Training/certification will be provided as needed.While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will occasionally be exposed to sheltered weather conditions and unheated/non-air-conditioned spaces, fumes or airborne particles, and the limited risk of electrical shock.The level of noise in the working environment is low to moderate.Protective clothing and/or equipment used in this position includes ear protection, eye protection, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
