Job Description:As a Scrum Master, you will lead the delivery of a cloud-based data management platform supporting the client's data management needs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing cloud-based solutions for complex data management problems, with a strong background in data security and cloud infrastructure. Knowledge of transportation-related data is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive consistent project delivery through the entire lifecycle, including project plans, release plans, resource allocation, and management of project risks, scope, schedule, and delivery of value.Coordinate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, Story Refinement, and Release Planning.Track and communicate project progress from schedule, cost, and risk perspectives to the project team, stakeholders, and management.Establish an effective team environment and assist in removing obstacles. Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.Ensure a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as other external parties. Track and report team velocity and other project metrics.Promote continuous improvement and assist teams in increasing productivity. Help the Product Owner and team with Product Backlog management.Adhere to Client and project management practices as defined. Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and support data management needs.Ensure data is collected, stored, and processed securely and in compliance with regulations. Analyze data to provide insights for decision-making by project management teams.Provide training and support for end-users to ensure effective use of the platform.Demonstrate capability and experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining master data systems and processes across business units.Understand data and leverage it to deliver business value; discuss requirements with data teams. Apply agile methodologies to drive master data governance processes.Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases, facilitate design workshops, and define test objectives, plans, and cases for the project.Manage project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Define, measure, and communicate progress with metrics.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices.Experience managing cloud-based solutions for data management and analytics.Ability to work with customers to understand their business practices and manage expectations.Set clear performance standards and hold team members accountable while keeping the team engaged.Help Product Owners create and prioritize the Product Backlog.Strong interpersonal skills, including mentoring, coaching, collaboration, and team building.Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.Ability to analyze and document business and system processes.Balance competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and cost.Well-versed in Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies.PMP and CSM Certifications required.SAFe Certification preferred.Experience with the SAFe framework is a plus.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
