Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our team in support of the Army Selection Board System (ASBS) program. This is a remote role responsible for the development and implementation for updates to existing software.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) development tasks and peer review for the ASBS Project.This position will focus on full stack development with adherence to styles and attention to detail.They must be an excellent communicator, problem solver, and actively independent thinker.The selected candidate must be able to work as part of a team and be willing to mentor others.
Requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.Candidate must have a DoD Secret Clearance.Candidate must have CompTIA Security+ or other applicable 8570 IAT Level II certification.Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study.Candidate must have 8+ years' experience as a software developer.Candidate must have 5+ years' experience Java Spring Boot.Candidate must have 2+ years' experience with Angular 10 or greater.Candidate must have experience in an Agile Environment.Candidate must have professional certification in their profession or field of study, or willing to obtain one.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Amazon Web Services, JBOSS, Rest Services, GraphQL.Prior knowledge of Military processes and procedures is welcomed.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
