Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something.This role requires leading the design, development and deployment of data warehouse solutions for multiple business groups at Apple for Finance domain.DescriptionThis role entails providing solutions to near real time reporting needs using SAP HANA or a similar database, and overseeing fast-paced, intricate distributed database environments that support OLAP systems. The successful candidate will lead and collaborate with a diverse, multi-functional team, both locally and remotely, to design, develop, and support product and process development efforts for our next-generation products. Main responsibilities include:Design, develop, deploy, and manage relational column tables in production environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.Design, implement and optimize SQL stored procedures, views, data pipelines, issue detection and resolution, and log analysis.Implement column and row level security for access.Lead cross-functional teams to support large-scale databases with high transaction volumes and ensure continuous availability.Lead the development of data pipelines to cloud environments such as Snowflake.Design, develop and implement reporting solutions on any one of the following: Tableau, Business Objects or custom UI solutions, ideally using NodeJS.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of solid background in SQL, database application development and/or developing ETL pipelines.Should be able to troubleshoot in various RDBMS technologies and do root cause analysis of issues.Must have strong understanding of Massively Parallel Processing databases and column storage.Strong experience in Data Modeling, SQL performance tuning, and reporting is required, preferably using SAP HANA.Preferred QualificationsProficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting is essential, with a demonstrated ability to migrate mission-critical applications to cloud environments.BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
