What You'll Do:Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.Leads and prepares design documents, technical plans, written reports on projects.Implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.Performs coordination with managers on project staffing, including recruitment, hiring, development, retention, and succession of project staff.Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development and building client relationships.May be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development and retention of staff.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field and 8 years relevant experience.2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.What You'll Bring:Urban Design expertise and best practices for design of the public realm and human-centered mobility.Provides technical guidance to team and task leads as well as performing portions of the technical work.Manages urban design, landscape, transit, and placemaking projects or task orders with no or few subconsultants.Is savvy in relationship development and seeks to understand the nuances of partnerships and political drivers.Provides competency in design and production of construction/technical documents (i.e., PS&E) utilizing attention to detail.Has experience identifying/mitigating risks and solving project conflicts.Serves as a connector and translator between disciplines and subject matter experts to accomplish project goals.Winning, contracting, and successfully delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on smaller projects.What We Prefer:Master's degree in Business, Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design or related field.American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP), Registered Landscape Architect (RLA), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP).10 years relevant experience.Additional InformationVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.
