Compassionate Counselor In Training Needed!Position OverviewThe Counselor in training will be responsible for assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. The Counselor conducts individual and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. The Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to assist the patients in achieving overall outcomes.Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment.Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.Conduct individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination.Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan.Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments.Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans.Other related duties as determined by supervisor.Qualifications:Louisiana CIT, RAC or CAC

or currently holding a Bachelor’s in Social Services willing to obtain a CIT.Louisiana licensed as LAC, LRC, LCSW, and LPC, OR LMFT preferred.Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
