The candidate must be admitted to the California State Bar in good standing and possess a strong academic record. Experience with Title IX and public sector or education law is preferred.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct thorough and impartial workplace investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing findings.Provide legal counsel on public sector law, including labor and employment issues, and advise clients on compliance with relevant regulations and policies.Draft detailed reports, legal memoranda, and other documents related to investigations and legal matters.Prepare and deliver presentations on investigation findings and legal issues to clients and stakeholders.Stay informed about developments in public sector law, labor and employment law, and Title IX regulations.Collaborate with clients and team members to develop strategies for addressing legal issues and resolving disputes.Maintain case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.Requirements:2+ years of legal experience, with a focus on workplace investigations, public sector law, or labor/employment law.Strong investigative skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex matters.Stellar research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information to clients and stakeholders.Strong academic record with a demonstrated ability to learn and grow professionally.Admission to the California State Bar in good standing (required).Title IX experience is preferred.Experience in public sector or education law is preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California (required).Skills:Proficiency in conducting investigations and handling complex legal matters.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Effective oral and written communication and presentation abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously with attention to detail.Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of public sector law, labor/employment law, and Title IX regulations.Company info
