Job Summary:

Performs clerical, technical and patient care duties in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). Participates in training and/or cross-training of duties.

Education and Work Experience:

High School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredHospital Nursing Assistant experience: PreferredMonitor Technician experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association certification: RequiredCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: PreferredBasic electrocardiography interpretation certification: PreferredEssential Functions:

Reports to Registered Nurse (RN) pertinent observations and patient response to care provided. Documents according to unit standards.Prioritizes patient care and department needs, sets goals and organizes time to meet daily demands of nursing care.Takes vital signs.Participates in training and/or cross-training of duties.Documents according to unit standards and appropriately reports to pertinent observations and patient response to care provided.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
