Join the Siri Speech team at Apple. The Siri Speech team is looking for exceptional Software Engineers to help to create the most reliable Assistant and Dictation experience. You will help productize modern deep learning techniques running on custom Apple hardware that also adhere to Apple's high standards on Privacy, and create cutting edge products that push the envelope on the future of speech technology.DescriptionWe are looking for a talented Software Engineer who is excited by the prospect of working on Siri and Dictation used by millions of users. Our Engineers are creative, inspired, innovative, energetic, self motivated people who love making and shipping products. Are you one of us? You will primarily be responsible for productizing technologies that help with Accuracy, Performance, and Distributed Training of automatic speech recognition on Apple’s Platforms and Devices. To succeed in this role, you must be a strong collaborator, and a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations.Minimum Qualifications1+ yrs of programing experience in industry, research lab, open source, or personal projectsExceptional development experience at the framework level with C/C++ or SwiftOutstanding programming and debugging skillsOutstanding algorithm and problem solving abilitiesB.S or M.S in Computer Science, or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications
Background in Applied Machine Learning a plus but not requiredBackground in Automatic Speech Recognition a plus but not requiredAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
