The Worship Arts Director at Faith Lutheran Church is responsible for overseeing the development of effective worship environments at Faith. This includes planning and leading worship in conjunction with staff, training, and nurturing worship team members, and working with individuals and groups to use creative arts to glorify God.
This position reports to the Senior Pastor, will be approx. 20 hours/week and be required to attend weekly staff meetings.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the incorporation of music, drama, dance, and visual arts in the traditional and contemporary styles of worship of Faith Lutheran Church.
Ensure there is music for and oversee all Sunday services, Lenten services, and all other services as requested by the Senior Pastor or the Worship and Music team.
Coordinate music for Sunday services, the Vocal choir, the Sunday School Children, and the Bells Choir. Assist in selecting the music for Sunday services as needed as directed by the Senior Pastor.
Ensure the music equipment is monitored and repaired as needed. Take the lead in coordinating equipment upgrades.
Organize Vocal choir, Bell choir, and Sunday School Children practice and presentation to the congregation as requested.
Attend the Worship and Music Team monthly meetings.
Coordinate with the Worship and Music team on special music.
Maintain the music library for all music venues, order music as needed, and approved by the Worship and Music Team.
Recruit new members to the Vocal and Bell choir and other volunteers as needed or directed.
Lead, train, and resource worship teams/vocalists, band members, tech teams, etc.
Encourage the ongoing spiritual growth and skill development of individuals and support teams related to worship and music.
Oversee the pianist and ensure we have coverage for all Sundays and vocal choir accompaniment.
Conduct Vocal, Bell choir, and Sunday School Children practice weekly at a set standard time.
Conduct Senior Choir on Sunday morning as outlined by the Worship and Music team.
Conduct Hand Bell choir on Sunday mornings as outlined by the Worship and Music team.
Conduct Sunday School Children on Sunday morning as outlined by the Worship and Music team.
Prepare and conduct the Cantatas such as Christmas and Easter as directed.
Use Song Select to report to CCLI our use of music each month.
Oversee the process of enhancing worship through sound, video, lighting, & staging.
Attend workshops for self-improvement as requested.
Prepare annual budget.
