The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Corporate Communications serves as a key player on the Sun Pharma Global Corporate Communications team and reports to the CEO, Sun Pharma North America, based in Princeton, New Jersey.

HYBRID Work Week: 3 days in office; 2 days remote

Job DescriptionMedia Relations

Be the spokesperson for Sun Pharma globally

Develop communication strategy & plan to build, enhance and protect the company's reputation globally

Organize media interactions and relationship-building meetings of Sr. Management with media and work with PR consultants/freelancers

Collaborate with other departments (Marketing, HR, SGO, CSR, etc.) to enhance/manage reputation and coordinate actions

Develop appropriate messaging to support Sun Pharma’s corporate image, brands and business

Develop, cultivate and maintain good relations with media

Brand Building

Be the company’s brand custodian, guide teams and ensure brand compliance globally

Build and strengthen corporate brand using a variety of communication tools & channels (E.g. Corporate Film, Brochure etc.)

Collaborate and work closely with internal teams/subsidiary companies across the world to drive branding initiatives

Develop and maintain Sun’s global brand manual

Digital & Social Media

Build and execute social media strategy to leverage and build a strong brand image for Sun Pharma

Set up and optimize company pages and generate/publish/share daily content (text, images, video) on social media platforms to increase engagement & reach

Moderate user-generated content in line with the social media policy for each community

Guide and support internal teams to build & manage social media platforms/campaigns in line with the company’s social media policy

Crisis Management

Effectively manage issues/crisis relating to the company and its divisions/brands

Minimize the damage by neutralizing the issue/crisis or ensure the coverage on the given platform/s is balanced through effective messaging

Anticipate and identify potential issues and develop communication plan to address them

Internal Communications

Articulate internal communication plan, aligned to business and people goals

Develop messaging for MD and Senior Management

Manage the company’s intranet, MySunPharma.com and drive adoption through innovative ideas & engagement

Plan & execute employee events & town halls in collaboration with business teams

Work closely with the HR teams and business partners on employee engagement & internal communications

Additional Responsibilities

Writing effective communications on complex topics

Aligning internal communications recommendations and tactics to support and drive executive communications programs that underscore the value of the Company through a collective message platform related to company objectives, company culture, milestones and business priorities.

Partnering with key internal players to leverage and coordinate internal/external activities across the organization.

This person must have experience in drafting integrated communications approaches across both internal/external audiences, have a creative and solutions-oriented mindset, and an ability to collaborate and adapt to changing dynamics.

The ideal candidate is an Experienced Senior Manager in PHARMA, strong writer, has the ability to simplify complex information and is process-minded.

Must be willing to travel up to 10%.

Requirements and QualificationsCore CompetenciesThe successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight timetables, be open-minded and can adapt to change.

Must possess excellent writing skills—both technical and creative/promotional proficiency, highly refined skills of grammar and syntax; ability to adapt writing styles quickly and gracefully.

Have the ability to distill complex language from a variety of sources into effective, easy-to-understand, concise messages for a variety of internal and external audiences.

Work ExperienceMinimum of 7+ years’ experience in corporate communications or public relations.

EducationMinimum Bachelor Degree required in Business, Communications, Journalism, English. MBA preferred. Pharmaceutical experience is strongly encouraged.
