DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will assist our Intake Office (IO) by providing clerical support involving typing and processing of information, serving as office receptionist, and assisting with the smooth operation of the office. You will be responsible for typing and preparing documents, reports, correspondence, and other material from rough draft or hard copy. This includes maintaining a variety of lists for child placements, court project requests, police reports, and related IO functions. Work utilizes Microsoft Office and other computer programs. You will also greet and direct visitors, answer phone calls, and help with calming a visitor or caller until staff arrives. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade;

orCompletion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course;

orAny combination of equivalent experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement. If no eligible candidates who live within Allegheny County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
