Overview
We are seeking a full-time
User Interface Designer Intern
in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality visual graphics for Garmin products.Essential FunctionsLearn to prepare final software-ready image files based on supplied specifications for several types of product linesLearn to collaborate with user interface designers and software engineers to make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and assist in the resolution of artwork issues during the production processLearn how to follow established processes and guidelines to ensure tasks are being completed on timeLearn the ability to manage multiple basic projects in parallel from start to finishBasic QualificationsCompleted coursework in graphic design/visual communicationExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledgeProficient or able to learn the understanding of imaging formats, screen technology, quality control, and asset outputProficient or able to learn using Photoshop and Adobe IllustratorDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsTeam-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProficient organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail/qualityDesired QualificationsExperience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Blender, Microsoft OfficeExperience in Visual Communications or Graphic DesignGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
