Our sustained investment in research, development, and invention means we’re always ready to solve the toughest challenges alongside our customers.Scope of Position:This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering and analysis, working with large datasets and contributing to meaningful projects.This role involves contributing to data engineering and data analysis work on a state-of-the-art analytics platform. The intern will learn advanced data engineering and analytics techniques, create visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders. Responsibilities include data engineering tasks using Python and PySpark, building visuals on prepared data, collaborating with team members, documenting work, and performing a final readout.Responsibilities:Data Engineering/Cleaning: Preprocess and clean data to ensure accuracy and consistency.Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and trends.Visualization: Create dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate analytical findings.Collaboration: Work closely with our team to understand the scope of the project and translate them into technical solutions.Documentation: Document processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or Engineering, currently enrolled.Requirements and Required Skills:PythonSQL highly recommendedData analytic skillsData visualizationsKnowledge of Machine LearningDeep learning librariesMust be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.Be willing to work at the posted job location.This position does not support immigration sponsorship.The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.
