Cyber Security Intern

Responsibilities

The Cyber Security intern will assist the Cyber Security Lead with:Network and hardware troubleshootingResearching solutionsTesting & documentationCyber security incident response effortsMonitoring internal and external policy complianceAssessing and mitigating cyber risksCreating audit policies and controls

Other duties may be assignedThis position may have access to Protected Health Information. In accord with HIPAA Privacy Rule, the person filling this position has been trained on Interstates HIPAA Privacy Policy and agrees to abide by the stipulations set forth in that Policy

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Pursuing a 4-year degree in Network and Security Administration, Cyber Operations, Cyber Defense or related fieldsBasic knowledge of networking fundamentals, understanding of common ports and protocols, and familiarity with common cyber security technologies.Preferred Skills:

Excellent communication and teamwork skillsExcellent analytical, written, and oral communication skillsAbility to work individually and as part of a team.Self-motivated
