Request ID: 631 Dept: Medicaid Agency Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test - SDET Duration: 12 Months Contract Location: Montgomery, AL, 36104 Position Description The Alabama Medicaid Agency is actively working on the Medicaid Enterprise Systems - Centralized Alabama Recipient Eligibility System (MES-CARES). The goal is to incorporate significant changes to the eligibility determination criteria for Medicaid and the Alabama Department of Health Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The individual will have following responsibilities. Create, design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts. Consistently designs, codes, and debugs test software (unit test/automation) that deliver results without direct supervision. Work with the engineering team('s) to convert manual testing practices into automated checks where possible. Devise test strategies to adequately cover requirements, develop high-level test scenarios that implement the strategy, and elaborate scenarios into detailed test cases. Perform regression testing and debugging directly verify code patches and bug fixes. Analyze and document test results and create detailed defect reports. Be an advocate for QA and SDETs, help rethink, and improve processes and metrics. Be on top of the latest frameworks and tools attaining technical knowledge and business-related skills Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with other components; Creating reusable scripts/tools upon demand; Being proficient in both functional and non-functional areas of testing; Providing bug reports and collaborating with the team; Writing unit test coverage of the code Refine the code quality by conducting rigorous and in-depth source code reviews as well as monitoring the testability of the code Skills Required Skills as SDET to design, develop automation test framework for enterprise level applications. Skills on automation frameworks testing Web Apps, API's, using frameworks such as: Selenium. Skills with object-oriented design and coding skills in C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery experience Knowledge on adding code to tests on CI/CD Pipelines and deployment. Technical skills with API/Integration testing and advanced testing methodologies such as All-Pairs Testing, Clustering, Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Partitioning, etc. Knowledge on using source control systems such as TFS. Knowledge with cross browser compatibility testing of web applications Unit framework such as: MS Test, xUnit, NUnit Knowledge and skills in an Agile / Scrum development environment Expert knowledge of writing technical documentation/defects and issues Proficient in writing comprehensive test plans Solid knowledge of SQL and how to turn data into meaningful results Skills Preferred Experience Required 6 years on hands on experience as SDET to design, develop automation test framework for enterprise level applications. 6 years of experience with automation frameworks testing Web Apps, API's, using frameworks such as: Selenium. 6 years of experience with object-oriented design and coding skills in C#. 5 years of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery experience 4 years of experience adding code to tests on CI/CD Pipelines and deployment 3 Experience with API/Integration testing and advanced testing methodologies 3 years experience Unit framework such as: MS Test, xUnit, NUnit Experience Preferred Healthcare experience preferably Medicaid or CHIP Education Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work Education Preferred Additional Information Candidate will work 100% onsite in Montgomery, AL. No remote work will be considered. Submittals must be of submitting vendor.
