Your Role

The Member Marketing team is responsible for creating an always-on integrated member engagement strategy that supports members where they are, when they need us, no matter their health status. The Marketing Communications Specialist, Consultant will report to the Senior Manager of Member Marketing. In this role you will be responsible for cultivating a relationship with our members that can change behaviors and improve their health outcomes.

Your Work

In this role, you will:Lead cross-functional teams across multiple business units to align on priorities and develop comprehensive communications strategiesDevelop communication programs that incorporate a full spectrum of tools and tactics (from traditional letters to digital and social media content)Creates communication through the eyes of the customer - developing holistic experiences and meaningful touch-pointsUse data to measure success and continually optimize results (open rates, response rates, return mail, list health, etc.)Use communication to mitigate risks through crisis management, constituent engagement, and customer serviceResponsible for developing, implementing and evaluating marketing strategies and plans that drive member engagement and profitable membership growth/retention in support of NPS goalsDevelop holistic experiences and meaningful touchpoints that leverage a variety of tools (consumer engagement, content marketing, content syndication, and email marketing)Understand the strategic intent of our members and connect the personalized programs to experiences through member facing marketing assets with landing environments that inspire desired member's actions and delivers on member's needsDrives successful implementation including approving all technical and artistic phases of marketing collateral and materials; tracking budgets and project deliverables/ milestones; managing vendor and internal unit activities and preparing reports and communications on project status to stakeholdersQualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience in marketingRequires experience with marketing project management and/or ability to manage omnichannel campaignsKnowledge of advanced health insurance marketing principles, healthcare education or behavior change practices and techniques is a plusAbility to independently develop, implement and evaluate marketing plans and processes and recommend process improvementsExcellent cross-functional team, project and organizational leadership skills with attention to details.Self-starter with initiative and a sense of accountability and ownershipAbility to influence and align stakeholders and decision makersPay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.

Note:

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Due to the current public health emergency in California, Blue Shield employees are almost all working remotely. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
