The Department of the Army, Army Installation Management Command, Joint Base Lewis-McChord Directorate of Public Works urgently requires Information Technology & Support Services.
The Joint Base Lewis-McChord Directorate of Emergency Services plans, directs, synchronizes, and executes Fire and Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Physical Security, Access Control, Weapons System Security, Emergency Management, and Emergency Communications/911 on JBLM to protect service members, family members, and civilians; protect the JBLM strategic support area; enable readiness and facilitate power projection during peacetime and war. This position requires that you live in Yakima/Seattle area to make on-site support and remote support.
Arcetyp LLC is looking for an experienced Senior ESRI GIS Specialist. This role will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain GIS databases using ArcGIS Pro and ensure data accuracy and performance for various Army GIS applications.Perform complex data editing, data modeling, analysis, and scripting (including web map scripting) for the Army environment.Work with SDSFIE data standards and perform data migration from geospatial data sources such as AutoCAD, Microstation, LiDAR.Collaborate with other teams and departments to enhance GIS system performance and ensure optimal data management.Utilize Global Positioning Technology (Trimble) or related mobile technologies to acquire and integrate spatial data.EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geology, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or similar/related field and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).3 years using ArcGISSpatial Analyst and 3D Analyst.1 year using ArcSDE data management, scripting, and web map scripting.2 years of experience using scripts and Model Building in ArcMap and/or ArcServer to automate or customize ArcGIS Pro processes administering an ArcSDE database.1 year using SDSFIE data standards (version 2 or above) for data Pro software for data management, maintenance and analysis.REQUIRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Must have demonstrated experience applicable to the Army environment in complex data editing, data modeling, data analysis, scripting (including web mapscripting) and GIS system performance enhancements.Experience in integrating geospatial data from sources like AutoCAD, Microstation, LiDAR, and experience with Global Positioning Technology.Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server for database management and Microsoft Azure for cloud-based GIS services.Must have Secret Clearance.
