Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MSSQL Database Administrator to join our DBA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of our Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security meet organizational needs. The DBA will work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure database systems align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain MSSQL databases on production, development, and testing environments.Monitor database performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Optimize and fine-tune databases for better query performance and scalability.Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures, ensuring that databases are protected against data loss and can be quickly restored.Ensure database security by implementing proper access controls, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and applying patches and updates as necessary.Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal downtime.Design and implement high-availability solutions such as replication, clustering, and Always On Availability Groups.Monitor storage and capacity planning to ensure databases can scale as the organization grows.Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2014/2016/2019)Proficiency with T-SQL for querying, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery models (SQL Server Native Backup or third-party tools such as Redgate SQL Backup, Quest LiteSpeed, or Veeam)Experience with high-availability solutions (Always On Availability Groups, SQL Clustering, Replication, or Log Shipping)Familiarity with database security protocols including encryption and data masking.Proficient in database monitoring tools (Redgate, SolarWinds DPA, or SQL Server Profiler).Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or MCSA: SQL certificationsExperience with Azure SQL database solution.Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
