Job Description (Posting).
This is for a H1B transfer case.The DPU team, within the Azure Hardware Systems Infrastructure group, brings together state-of-the-art software and hardware expertise to create a highly programmable and high-performance chip with the capability to efficiently handle large data volumes. Thanks to its integrated design, this solution empowers teams to operate with increased agility and deliver significantly superior performance compared to CPU-based alternatives. As a Software Engineer in the DPU Integration and Test team, you will be involved in the testing of the control and data plane software that runs on the DPU s custom-built silicon in a variety of new platforms targeted at storage and networking use-cases. This is an opportunity to build and test innovative products that will be deployed at planet scale. Qualifications RequiredMinimum Qualifications (RQsMQs) Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND over 5+ years of technical engineering experience as a software andor test engineer.Knowledge of operating systems and experience in both C and Python programming languages.Previous experience in testing and writing automated tests for networking, storage or server platform featuresproducts. Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs) Experience testing andor writing embedded software for NICs andor DPUs/IPUs.Understanding of and hands on experience with networking (TCP/IP, RoceV2, basic routing/switching) and server platform firmware (BMC, BIOS etc) testing. ResponsibilitiesWrite test applications in C that will execute on the DPU runtime software and enable testing of various networking protocols and core DPU accelerators/features.Write automated tests in Python to drive end user workflows against networking/storage servers.Be the champion of quality, find product defects before customers do and participate in cross-functional debugs and troubleshooting sessions.Assist in maintaining automated regression suites, running tests, and triaging failures.Research new tools, technologies, and methods to determine which solution best meets the project requirements (1.) To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity. (2.) To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure succeful delivery of complex projects. (3.) To ensure process compliance in the assigned module, and participate in technical discussionsorreview as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations). (4.) To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and closure of escalations.
