GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThis position is primarily responsible for enhancing product workflow by establishing and posting unbranded prices, maximizing unbranded margin opportunities, and monitoring volume allocations at multiple supply locations. Additionally, the Pricing Specialist is responsible for timely input and output of information through proprietary and external programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Gather relevant market intel and competitor pricing information needed to establish our posted price for fuel sales by product at multiple locations.
2. Administer daily/weekly/monthly supply allocations within the DTN TABS system to ensure volume targets are achieved.
3. Continually review, update and disseminate information regarding price changes and pricing anomalies manifested through OPIS, DTN, Platt's and Argus.
4. Prepare and send relevant messages and special prices to our unbranded customers and internal stockholders.
5. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBroad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
