Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking career orientated respiratory therapists with solid knowledge of respiratory care disease processes with exceptional critical thinking skills with independent work habits.

The respiratory therapists at WDH function as clinical consultants and are primarily focused on providing extensive respiratory care practices throughout the hospital. They provide all aspects of mechanical ventilation including NPPV, as well as the monitoring and managing of patients with artificial airways. Clinical assignments include the Critical Care Unit, Women & Children's Unit (high risk deliveries, pediatric general care and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), Emergency/Trauma and general care areas.

Qualifications

Experience Minimum Required

•Clinical rotations with all age groups in all aspects of respiratory care.

•Working experience in an acute care setting with at least one age group.

•1 year of acute care hospital clinical experience as a practicing RCP.

Experience Preferred/Desired

•3 years of acute care hospital clinical and diagnostic experience.

Education Minimum Required

•Graduate of an (accredited American Medical Association/JRCRTE/COARC) Respiratory Education Program.

Education Preferred/Desired

•Associates degree from an advanced level education program.

Training Minimum Required

•Age specific criteria.

•Training in at least two age populations.

Training Preferred/Desired

•Training experience in multiple age populations.

Special Skills Minimum Required

•Basic computer skills, Arterial Puncture, Mechanical Ventilation, Critical Thinking Skills, Diagnostic, Assessment and Therapeutic skills.

•Good communication skills, HCP-BCLS

Special Skills Preferred/Desired

•Advanced assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic skills and ventilator management skills with all age populations.

Licensure and/or Certifications Required

•NH RCP License, RRT, AHA BLS

Licensure and/or Certifications Preferred/Desired

•NRP, ACLS, CPFT, PALS, RPFT
