Note: The pay rate for this job is $20 - $26 / hour
Responsibilities:
Painting Job Duties
Wash Exterior: Remove mildew from surfaces.
Repair Damaged Surfaces: Inspect the house perimeter for damage (wood, masonry, metal, siding, stucco). Fill cracks with epoxy and sand once dry.
Remove Loose Paint: Identify and scrape off loose or chipped paint. Use drop cloths to protect the ground.
Caulk Trim: Seal gaps between the house and trim around doors and windows with exterior caulk, especially at material junctions.
Prime Stains: Apply stain-blocking primer to any visible stains or wood knots.
Protect Fixtures: Cover doors, windows, and lights with plastic sheeting and painter's tape.
Paint Exterior: Use a paint sprayer to apply one or two coats of flat or eggshell exterior paint, working from top to bottom. Use primer when changing colors.
Paint Trim and Doors: Remove coverings and apply two coats of exterior semigloss paint to woodwork and doors.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years experience in residential painting
Must own tools of trade and painter whites
