Process Control Intern

based in

Houston, TX for Summer 2025.

What will you do?

The selected intern will collaborate with a team of engineers delivering projects and providing support for our process automation customers on Foxboro and Modicon systems.

Manage customer contracts by performing preventative maintenance visits, documenting / delivering reports and provide on-site remedial support.

Under the mentorship and direction of senior engineers, the intern will be part of a high-performance team solving problems for our customers and delivering solutions.Extensive involvement in testing systems for customers and resolving discrepancies.Collaborating with a senior engineer, build and configure Human Machine Interface screens for operator control/effectiveness based on the design inputs.Learn everyday working on process control and PLC control systems. Troubleshooting, upgrading, set-up/configuring equipment and software, building applications that will be delivered to our customers. Learn to interpret design inputs like Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, IO lists, and control narratives.Ensure that the customer's system is updated to the latest software, quick fixes, and hardware.Potential travel to project sites to assist with commissioning and gain experience.What qualifications will make you successful?Currently pursuing a recognized Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Process ControlAbility to install hardware and software, perform configuration, and troubleshoot hardware and software issuesFamiliar with the products and services within the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Chemical industryKnowledge of HMI (Human Machine Interface) software, DCS (Distributed Control Systems) system and field instrumentationKnowledge of Foxboro and WonderwareTeam player with good leadership and communication skills and able to travel when requiredStrong analytical & logical ability, possess of good judgment, negotiation and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented, forward looking and good leadership abilitiesInnovative and dynamic with effective communication skills, especially in inter-cultural aspects
