Hours: Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week

The Surgical Tech supervisor performs all clinical duties as described in the Operating Room Technician job description and takes an active role in the oversight of the surgical techs in the operating room. The incumbent in this leadership role takes an active part in accomplishing the strategic plan of PAMC and Peri-operative Services. Works with surgeons, Anesthesiologists, RN's, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care during surgery. Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, anticipates the needs of the surgeon in providing these, and maintains a sterile environment.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
Program accredited by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree of Science or Candidates without an Associate's degree must five years of operating room experience. Candidates with a degree must have two years of operating room experience
2 years Operating room experience (2 years with Associate's degree, or 5 years without degree)
