This is a internship for a Process Engineering Co-op/Intern position with a company located in Oxford, MS.

Examples of Process Engineer Co-Op Daily Activities: Work under the direction and support of senior level engineer(s), working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Ballistics Operations. Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements related to the production of small caliber ammunition. Collect, process, and communicate data to support engineering projects and process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, Support Operational, Maintenance, and Safety Teams in Manufacturing Excellence goals, including continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Position Specific Requirements: Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Engineering degree program; Mechanical, Industrial or Metallurgical Engineering Preferred. Preference given to students located within 50 miles of the assigned Olin location. Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations. Must have completed sophomore year prior to first assignment with Olin. Ability to work full time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) either January - May 2025, May - August 2025 or August - December 2025. Not eligible for virtual work. Preference will be given to candidates with availability and desireto work a minimum of three (3) terms with no more than one of those terms occurring over the summer. Experience in ammunition and firearms with knowledge of the shooting sports industry is preferred. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa.
