The National Director of Accounting at DreamFields is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, consolidation, and process improvements. This role is ideal for someone with a deep knowledge of accounting principles, experience in high-volume transaction environments, and the ability to manage large teams. Expertise in public companies, CPG experience, ERP conversions, and system-focused process improvements is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Consolidation:

Lead financial reporting and consolidation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS. Manage the preparation of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.Transaction Management:

Oversee complex, high-volume financial transactions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and US GAAP.Process Improvement & System Integration:

Drive process optimization in areas like AP, AR, budgeting, and consolidation. Lead system integration projects, identify opportunities for automation, and improve transaction processing speed and accuracy.Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support:

Provide accounting support during M&A activities, including due diligence and financial integration. Prepare purchase price allocations and integrate acquired entities.Foreign Currency & Multi-National Operations:

Manage foreign currency transactions and provide oversight for multi-national operations, ensuring accurate consolidation and compliance with accounting standards.Team Leadership & Development:

Mentor and manage a large accounting team. Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and development to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.Compliance & External Audits:

Manage annual financial audits, maintain internal controls, and ensure timely compliance with audit requirements.Budgeting & Forecasting:

Collaborate with FP&A teams to support accurate budgeting and forecasting. Ensure alignment with corporate goals and maintain quality transactional coding processes.Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making across the organization.Qualifications:Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Master's degree or MBA preferred.Certification:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable.Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with a significant portion at a managerial level or higher.Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or Top 10 firm in audit, tax, or transaction advisory is preferred.Experience in large, complex, high-volume environments, especially in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), is a plus

Key Experience Areas:High Transaction Volumes:

Proven experience managing and overseeing large transaction volumes, and management and development of accounting processes that support rapid scalability.Complex Transactions:

Experience with complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, inventory valuation, derivative accounting, business combination accounting, share-based compensation, and complex valuation.M&A Experience:

exposure to mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration, and consolidation.Foreign Currency Transactions:

Experience managing multi-currency operations and accounting for foreign currency transactions.Large-Scale Consolidation:

Experience consolidating financials across a large entity group, especially in multi-national organizations.Public Company Experience:

Strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements and public company compliance is a plus. Experience supporting the IPO process a strong plus.ERP Conversion & Systems:

Hands-on experience with ERP conversions, system integrations, and process automation. Experience with large ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is required.Skills:Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with GAAP/IFRS standards.Excellent leadership, team management, and project management skills.Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.EEOC:
