The VP of Brokerage is responsible for all aspects of the CJ Logistics Freight Brokerage capability. This includes people leadership, strategic plan development, acquisition of new customers, and servicing and relationships with existing customers. The VP is responsible for the operating P&L which will be measured through KPI’s including, but not limited to revenue, gross margin and costs associated with the Brokerage business.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Generate new customer acquisitions through his/her own efforts, and indirectly through National Account Executives and Customer Sales teamsManage deals from initial partner contact to contract signing, launch and growthManage the entire sales performance process of the Carrier Sales and Transactional Sales segmentsService customers through the Support, Execution and Operations teamsEnsure that expectations of both new and existing customers are met as efficiently and cost effectively as possibleFoster an environment of collaboration, trust and respect among all operational and sales teamsDevelop, implement and manage action plans to meet financial targets and expand capabilitiesCo-ownership of Freight Brokerage tech-stack and roadmap in conjunction with the CIO’s officeOther duties as assignedRequirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Logistics/Supply Chain or related field requiredMBA preferred15+ years of experience of transportation sales and operations experience, with 7+ years in a senior leadership roleAbility to bring in new customersProven revenue, gross margin and cost management resultsStrong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, aggressiveness and confidenceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPay, Benefits and More:
