Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.The RoleThe primary responsibility for this position is to be a team subject matter expert for OSP network construction and/or site civil construction. Specific areas regarding site civil are site development, utility power, ac surge suppression, generator/transfer switches, HVAC, DC power and grounding. Right-of-Way build experience preferred. Accomplished technical engineer/planner who is adept at budgeting, planning, facilitating, and negotiating supplier agreements.The Main Responsibilities• Establish, implement, and maintain administrative and technical procedures to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner within allocated budget and accounting guidelines• For new work requirements, evaluate and provide recommendations and timelines.• Evaluate the requirements and provide guidelines for new product introductions• Possess knowledge and understanding of builds within ROWs• Evaluate supplier agreements and award strategies.• Exercise financial controls within company financial systems, including review/approval of projects, purchase requisitions and oversight of approved contractors• Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases• Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews• Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization• Maintains project administration in a correct and timely manner, and orders materials and equipment and takes care of the necessary permitsWhat We Look For in a Candidate• Bachelors degree plus at least six (6) years or more of Construction industry experience in site development and general construction. Field Of Study: construction science and management, engineering, architecture, or a related degree• Demonstrated work experience for construction related projects, acting as the primary contact responsible for job control from a quality, costing and scheduling perspective.• Ability to travel as much as 20%-30% as needed• Previous experience and knowledge in all aspects of Site Civil Construction, Engineering, Permitting, Equipment Installation, and contract policies and procedures, as well as the Construction Certification Program requirements.• Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.• A self-starting working with minimal management oversight with the ability to prioritize with good time management skills.• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training• Knowledge of AutoCAD• Experience reading Blueprints/A&E drawings and Schematics#CNPCompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.
