Americans For Prosperity - Mississippi is looking for a passionate advocate for liberty to be our next Grassroots Engagement Director. You will identify, recruit, and lead volunteers in voter-contact activity, as our activist base holds our elected officials accountable throughout Mississippi! This position will be based in the areas of Hattiesburg, Laurel, Meridian and the Coast.
You Will...
Build and lead a community of volunteers who will engage in multiple voter-contact activities including phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, and online activism
Work with community leaders to educate the public on critical policy issues and legislation.
Be the brand ambassador and local face for the AFP in your community.
Plan, promote, and execute large public facing events.
Manage complex grassroots projects with multiple stake holders, partners, and vendors
Support your activist teams with on-going training, resources, and mentorship
You Will Need…
A deep belief in people-empowering, bottom-up, public policy solutions that limit the coercive nature of government and empower individuals to pursue their American Dream
Leadership skills! We need someone with strong people skills and humility to embrace our growth-focused culture
Comfort and confidence working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment independent of direct supervision or direction. We need a go-getter who can figure out how to overcome new and unique challenges!
A valid driver’s license
Stand Out Candidates Will Also Have...
Knowledge of the political, economic, and legislative landscape of Mississippi
A background in grassroots activism, political lobbying, canvassing, or campaign work
Experience managing and developing engaging social media
