The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in garment construction, pattern making, and fit analysis, combined with a passion for men's fashion. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our men's apparel lines meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and design.

Job SummaryThe Technical Designer for the PUMA Kid’s team will focus on supporting the technical design of the girls’ & boys' product line. This role requires attention to detail, an understanding of garment construction, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to bring designs from concept to production. The Technical Designer will work closely with the Senior Technical Designer and designers to ensure consistency and accuracy across all product categories.

Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):

Create technical specification packages detailing garment construction, sewing details, trims, and measurements.Measure garments to ensure accuracy and consistency with vendor measurements across product categories.Prepare and track samples for fittings, ensuring deadlines for approvals are met.Assist in technical fittings by preparing samples, taking notes, and completing fit lists.Maintain tech logs and tech packs under the direction of the Senior Technical Designer and Design Team.Generate detailed POM specs for production.Communicate with factories to address pattern corrections, garment construction issues, and design specifications.Manage style inputs in the web-based PLM system.Collaborate with internal teams such as Design, Production, and Product Development, as well as external teams like overseas partners.Support other company operations and tasks as needed.Qualifications/Requirements:

College degree in technical design, fashion design, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in technical design or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in girls’ & boys’ products, including knowledge of sizing from newborn to big girls', and big boys’ sizes.Strong attention to detail, and sewing techniques, with a solid understanding of patternmaking.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM systems.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design, sales, and production teams.This position is at an hourly rate of $35.00 p/h to $45.00 ph. This position is fully onsite.
