Senior Product Manager - Books Inventory Productivity, WW Books Supply Chain Operations
Job ID: 2697501 | Amazon.com Services LLC The Kindle Content and Physical Books team is looking for a passionate and visionary Senior Product Manager who loves to innovate and solve interesting and complex business opportunities that have a direct impact to the Books P&L. This includes end-to-end ownership of innovative new features that advance our vision of becoming best in class for operational and sustainability excellence.
As the WW Senior Product Manager for Inventory Productivity, your core responsibility is to design products that accelerate our abilities to reduce inventory over-investments. This includes end-to-end ownership of ideas that prevent over-investment and CX-facing products that reduce defects, all while accounting for Books nuances. You’ll collaborate with other Marketplace Points of Contact (POCs) to drive initiatives across inventory management, design metrics/KPIs, propose tenets, list our current gaps with central teams, and design future roadmap for a defect-free supply chain. Additionally, this role will partner with Amazon Supply Chain Optimization & Technologies teams, Data science, Finance, Transportation, CX/UX Design and both external/internal stakeholders while owning the product roadmap strategy and execution.
Key job responsibilities - Have end-to-end ownership of inventory productivity products/initiatives, with Senior Leadership goals and roadmap visibility, from conceptualization and design through development and implementation. - Partner with enterprise retail and inventory management teams. - Think creatively and invent new solutions for excess inventory reduction, including both prevention and response. - Design long-term supply chain strategies to raise the bar for "optimal inventory productivity", accounting for the nuances of Books customers and vendors. - Be the central voice of US Books to systems and operations leaders to champion supply chain initiatives and extend them beyond Books across the company. - Manage diverse stakeholder relationships to gain cross-functional support to deliver results across the supply chain. - Expand our product scope and learnings to WW marketplaces approaching systemic & technical implementations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end-to-end product delivery - Experience as a product manager or owner - Experience owning technology products PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
